Guides to the Health Insurance Marketplace

HealthCare.gov offers a concise One-Page Guide to the Health Insurance Marketplace. This includes basic information about key aspects of the Marketplace, including how to identify the Health Insurance Marketplace serving your state and details on upcoming enrollment timelines. A Quick-Start Guide to the Health Insurance Marketplace Application is also availible. Navigators from the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council will be at the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Library on January 3rd from 2-5pm offering enrollment assistance. Enroll in NY State Health Insurance Marketplace at the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library

The library is an enrollment site for the NY State Health Insurance Marketplace. Navigators from the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council will be at the library on the first Friday of every month. The Hospital Council is a state-appointed lead navigator agency to help people enroll in Child Health Plus and Medicaid, and to see if they qualify for tax credits to help pay for insurance available in the NY State of Health Insurance Marketplace. Documents required to enroll include: a Photo ID, Proof of Address, and Proof of Income for the past four weeks or Last Year’s Income Tax.
